Our invited speaker, culinary historian Richard Foss, will whet our curiosity and perhaps our appetites as well, with his topic:
“Dickens, Queen Victoria, and Christmas in 19th Century California”
An engaging speaker, Richard has also written extensively on foodways. “Christmas feasts”, he explains, “were not initially an American traditiion. They were illegal in Puritan New England, and when celebrated in England and Europe, they did things differently than we do today.” Attend the annual meeting to learn the difference!

Collage Location & Parking
Collage is located at 731 S. Pacific, on the west side of Pacific Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets. It’s one door north of the Deco Art Building (old McMahons).
There’s a metered city parking lot on the north side of 8th Street just below Pacific, and also on the north side of 7th Street, across from Rafaello’s. An unmetered lot is available on the north side of 7th Street west of pacific, just up from the former Croatian Cultural Center.
